Today I'd like to introduce all of you to one of the niciest citiest in Myanmar. It's name is "Pyin Oo Lwin", the highland city of Myanmar. It's also called "Pan-Myo-Daw"...it means "the royal city of flowers". In this city, you can enjoy cool and clean weather avoid hot and humid summer heat and also the beauty of nature.
Pyin Oo Lwin is 1078 meters above the sea-level and nearly 8-10 degree Celsius cooler than the plain. It's the perfect climate for flowers, fruits, and vegetations. It's also well-known for its colonial style houses with large compuonds and pine trees, eucalyptus and silver-oak abound in town around.
For the ultimate hoticultural enjoyment, visitors all need to visit to the "National Kandawgyi Garden", also called "Pyin Oo Lwin Botanical Garden". It's a nice and green garden which stretches over a wide area just on the outskirts of Pyin Oo Lwin. There are some birds and nice walkways around the pond and also in the forest. Moreover, several seasonal flowers and hundreds of wild orchids from different parts of the country are collected and displayed in the "Orchid Green House". So, the garden becomes one of the world class botanical gardens. And there are also so many waterfalls in and around the city where you can find the extraordaniry peace.
The city is just 50 km from the second capital of Myanmar. You can get there by any kinds of transport. Many visitors usually visit a day-trip to Pyin Oo Lwin. And you dont need to worry to get lost, you can ask anyone on the way..i mean local...because all of the people are very friendly, honest and helpful. But actually only one day is not enough to stay and enjoy the city. And if you prefer to enjoy the peace and quiteness, the late afternoon might be the best time for a visit to the garden. So...I recommend all of you to come and visit to Myanmar and not to miss to go Pyin Oo Lwin.
